denis valishin

Denis Valishin was born in 2003 in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. He began his musical education at the music high school in Ufa and continued at the Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, studying with the renowned violist Maria Sitkovskaya. He is currently studying at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin with Professor Nils Mönkemeyer.

Denis has been a scholarship recipient of the City of Ufa, the President of Bashkortostan, and several private foundations in Russia. Since 2023, he has also held a scholarship from the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, and since 2024, he has been a recipient of the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Munich e.V. scholarship.

A laureate of numerous national and international competitions, Denis won first prize at the Hamburg Instrumental Competition and other competitions in Russia. As a soloist, he has performed in prestigious concert halls including the Elbphilharmonie and Gasteig, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the Library Hall of the Augustinian Canons, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Scriabin Museum, the Rachmaninoff Museum, as well as the Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic in Minsk and the H. Akhmetov State Philharmonic in Ufa.

He is also an experienced orchestral musician and served as concertmaster from 2020 to 2022 in ensembles such as "Fiori Musicali" and the Klangvereinigung Symphony Orchestra in Vienna.

Denis regularly participates in music festivals, including the Boswiller Sommer, Opera/Chamber Music Festival in Isny im Allgäu, the Island Concerts at Lake Tegernsee, Young Classics Augsburg, Ensemble Oktopus, and the Hohenschwangau Classical Festival.

Throughout his career, Denis has been influenced by renowned violinists and violists and has taken lessons with Maxim Rysanov, Nobuko Imai, Veit Hertenstein, Roberto Diaz, Pavel Vernikov, Svetlana Makarova, Sergey Kravchenko, and Alexander Revich.
